need some help setting up timing
ok so i am almost ready to fire the car now and just wanted to try and get an idea where i should start with timing.
set up
stock ls1 bottom end
tsp 233/239 595/605 112lsa
prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads
victor junior intake
speed demon 750 carb
msd ignition box
i want to run a custom timing, but i am just not sure exactly where to start the curve and how fast to have all timing in by. i am also not going to run a map sensor because the car is not going to be a daily driver so i really dont care about fuel economy that much.

19-22 at idle, 26-30@WOT...might start with all in by 3500 rpm and go from there...i have no experience with carbs and LS1's, quite a bit with EFI and LS1's

someone sent me the link to the msd tech pfd file for the 6010 msd box the other day on this forum, and i managed to download a pdf file which showed the ign tables for timing pills 1-6, which may be a start.
timing pill 1 (mine is running on this at the minute on a 750demon carb)
rpm deg
0 12
1000 20
2000 26
4200 33
6000 35
6100 35
mine had a little pinking going off at the top end on our 95octane uk fuel so if i had the programmable unit i'd have a little less timing above 4200 rpm probably. hope this helps

slowley ramping from low to mid 20's till peak tq has yeilded tq gains for me rather then ramping it in fast. then ramp it fast after peak tq to peak hp. not sure with the carb setup on ls tho...
