02 ls1 motor in a 98 chasis, need help with wires

Default 02 ls1 motor in a 98 chasis, need help with wires

ok ive looked everywhere and it doesnt really say what to do, can someone help me, i have a 98 camaro body ls1, i put in a 02 motor ,trans ,harness and computer, pluged it into the firewall and 4 plugs on the strut tower also, but it wont start, the fuel pump wont kick in and the oil pressure gauge reads 80+ psi without even cranking the motor over. ive heard you have to change some wires around, but which ones , need help asap. thanks.

Without quite a bit of changes a 99+ harness will not work in a 98. If you manage to get it running you will also find that you have no gauges at all. Your also going to have to delete some PCM codes.

I can get you the pin outs for the 99+ connectors but your gonna need to find the pinouts for the 98 so you can make the necesaary changes. When I did my LS1 swap I got Helms manuals for 1994 (my car) and 2002 (the engine I was swapping in), this gave me all the info I needed to make the swap.

i got a 02 cluster and a 02 computer too.. so all i need to do is figure out what wires need to be changed to get everything to work,, if you let me know what changes i need im sure i can do them,,

i have a complete 2000 interrior harness front to back of the car...pm me if you want it

i also have one of those,, but how will that help me? i have the 02 set up in my car already,, 98 is different from any other year correct? so what i need is someone to help me figure out what wires do i have to move around..

I know what the differences are, I just don't happen to have a diagram for the 98 to tell you what pins are different between the two. Did it originally have a V8??
