Default LS1 in a 3rd gen w/ M6

I was all geared up to put an LT1 M6 on a SBC that I was going to build up. Now I am going with an LS1. I know the T56 differs between SBC and the LSX engines, but is there anything I can swap in the trans to make this work? I would like to avoid having to sell this trans and have to search for another one.

My guess would be the bell housing and the input shaft.. anyone?

the lt1 m6 can be converted to a ls1 style by changing the bellhousing, input shaft, and front cover.

the lt1 t56 has better gearing anyways.

It would be much cheaper to sell your LT1 M6 and buy an LS1 M6. That input shaft and front cover are high.
