have a chance to buy a lq4/lq9 complete with wiring harness The guy wants 600 bucks for it, it is a long block with 150,000 miles on it. I am not to sure if its and lq4 or an lq9. They guy said its out of an 02 truck and had 317 heads. I am going to look at it tomorrow. I basically want it for the iron block and the heads for an FI build.
What do you guys think is it a good deal or no?

its prob gonna be an lq4, well worth the money-figure you will be getting the valley plate, front/rear covers, and you might be able to sell off other parts
its pretty hard to find one around here for under a $1000, but i bought 3 for $1500, pretty much stripped, a couple had fires, but basic block/heads were
good-i really didnt want 3, but that was the deal-sure was glad to have all the little stuff, like bolts, which i tagged where they came from, made it easier to build the motor, as opposed to buying a bare block
