To L33 Or not to L33? BMW Swap
I have been kicking around the idea of building a budget build ls motor and I love the idea of a $350 L33 aluminum block motor, Ls6 intake, Ls6 cam, was looking for some help on head choice or should I stick with the stock 5.3 heads, I'd like to stick with all available used GM parts to do this build unless I can find some amazing values on aftermarket. I'm looking to get over the 400hp mark with a nice torque curve, I will be putting a t-56 behind this motor and jamming it all in my 2.8L Z3 Bmw Should I just hold out for a bargain LS1 Or build the hybrid motor? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I just bought the L33 from a local yard for $350 maybe this was a unique experience, however after looking around the cheapest I have seen one for is about $600 but since I have the motor now does anyone have a secret recipe for success with these motors, I know they are LS family motor and recommendations on intake, cam, throttle body, maf sensor, fuel rail, injectors, My buddy is building a similiar car and spending tons of money buying an LS-2 and I knda wanna laugh at him when I've spent a quarter the money he has and I can run with him! or if I'm google challenged if someone could point me in the direction of a few threads that may have already covered this topic thanks for all the help!
