How to get tree sap out of top?

That's a bear! You have the right idea about heat but be careful not to let it get too hot. You also don't want to use anything too harsh on the fabric. I have used full strength 'car wash' solution if diluted is ineffective (Meguiar's, Eagle 1, any reputable company) with a soft towel trying to keep it isolated to the sap spot without spreading it around. Eventually it will free up and be clean. You might see a 'really clean' spot afterwards but washing the top a few times will 'blend' it all in and you will never see it. No damage to the top is the most important thing. Just protect the whole top with RAGGTOPP when you are done. This helps prevent future sap problems from adhering too bad as well. Good luck!
