Default C4 Corvette Maintenance Level

I've been looking for a 2000-2002 Hawk or WS6 to buy, and haven't had much luck, but I did come across a nice 1992 Corvette with 30k original miles. I'm not sure if this is something I want for a variety of reasons, but I'm certainly considering it. Since I've never really owned a car that was more than 5 years old before, I thought it prudent to ask before thinking on it any further:

Even with such low mileage, will a 15-20 year old car present overwhelming maintenance concerns? Keeping in mind I can't even change my own oil (though I've changed my breaks once or twice), will I find it difficult to own a car of this age, or do low mileage cars generally hold up pretty well over time?

I understand it will likely require some additional work, and maybe I'll even take the opportunity to finally learn something about working on a car, but I can't afford to miss work once a week due to car problems, nor afford to drop hundreds of dollars into it per month.

Any insights are welcome . Thanks.

Wrong section man. Try the LT1 section for more help.

Wrong section but if you can't change your oil,you can forget about changing plugs and Optispark on the LT1. Major pain in the ***,.

Sorry, I meant the question to apply to any older car, really, as if I don't take this one I may consider something else in that age range. But if a moderator could move it to the LT1 section I'd appreciate it. I don't seem to be able to do so myself.

I would highly recommend saving up. I loved my LT1 but it is a PITA to work on. And a car that old is GOING to be worked on a lot

And LT1 Vette stuff is retardedly expensive.

Stick with the LS1 F-body. You'll be happy you did.
