I just bought my first lS. A 2001 corvette 6 speed. And I'm a littl new to this car. And I need some help on how to make sure my car is running good. Does anyone know how to fix a headlight motor if its making a really loud noise only when I close them? Would really appreciate it.

Mine on my TA are loud when
They close... Just how they are from factory i think. On a vette in not sure but i bet its the same noise that the TA's make.

Unless yours is loud because its busted but ya..

If it sounds like a machine gun closing, then you will need to replace the plastic gear in the motor. Just did mine, i upgraded to the brass gears.

Fisrt thing to do is check for codes, do you think the car is not running right? If so, why. Always use 91 octane gas or higher, otherwise the pcm via knock sensors, will pull timing and the car will lose power til the pcm is reser to the high octane tables
