Question Corvette shopping, NEED HELP!!!

I'm going to look at an 80 Vette tomorrow for my wife. Can ya'll clue me into what sorts of things I'll need to check out on a 3rd Gen Vette such as rust spots or suspension stuff?!? Thanks!

There are a few areas I would look at. Check the frame for rust as the C3s are a full frame car rust can be hazardous. The vacuum system for the headlights is another thing to make sure it working. You notice many c3s with the headlights up all the time since the vacuum system is not working properly. Those are the main things I would look at. Anything obvious that jumps out should cause caution as well.

i have had 4 of the they all had power steering slave cylinder leaks, its not a big deal to fix but it is an issue, heating air conditioning are poor to say the least. as mentioned the frame rust look it over closely from the back of the doors back.check the body mount bushing and brackets on my 75 the mount under the hood rotted off i broke the trailing arm on my 69 cause it was rusted. on my 81 the fiberglass come loose between the head lights made it look like crap and the lights would not open, $600.00 repair. power window failure at the worst time on the 76. old technoligy steering with poor road feel. but i loved every one of them, they have great body lines and command alot of attention. mitch
