Default LG Headers, cats vs. no cats?

I'm going to go with the MS4 cam package in my coupe. What do you guys think, will the off road pipe be just too much? Do I really need to cats to tame it little?

I've had them both ways, its not that much louder without them until full throttle and its only 5 rwhp difference with them.
I currently run without them, I prefer the loudness and the smell..

Smell? Do you get quite a stench of gas fumes without the cats?

I went without cats on my car, but it depends on how hard emissions are where you live.

I would get the headers with cats. There is not much HP loss with them.

I run no cats as well, like said above not a real big hp difference but I love the poping backfire between shifts and when down shifting. I will need to come up with a plan come emmisions time though cause they are strict in CT and I am adding the MS3 to make it even worse.

I'm stationed in AZ, but I'm getting FL plates put back on since it is my home or record. That way I totally avoid the emissions testing.

I have the cats on and am taking them off for my new setup.
I am curios also about the fumes.
Guys that dont run cats, is the exhaust fumes more prevelant in the car?

I ran LT's and no cats on my ta for a good 8months. After you turn the car off, and get out there is a light gas smell. It's the smell of HP.

Ok, probably nothing I'm not used to then. I grew up mud boggin in 85 Chevy's with straight pipes, I'm sure it's not as bad, lol.

Lg pro's...no cats. Personally, wouldn't have it any other way. Sound for one is different....not to mention I don't have some CORK stuck in my exhaust systems escape route. My car, is loud. Friend say they here me on the highway, two miles away. So, keep that in mind next time you want to goose it in your neighbor hood with no cats and a silly exhaust. But, for me, I wouldn't have it any other way.

If you want it quiet, don't really care about racing the car,...get the long tubes with cats. If you want the absolute most out of it, get them without.

Tune, has ALOT to do with your car as well, I highly recommend getting your car tuned when you get the longtubes, with or without cats.

I have LG headers + cats in the box, I did not want the Z06 to be too loud.

LG long tubes NO cats. Like the sound, like smell. No cats if you don't have emissions to worry about it.

I had the LG setup on my old car with the titanium mufflers....car sounded nuts. Not too crazy, just sounded very refined.
