Default 1990 corvette engine

Don't know where to post this question. I'm looking to do a swap into my el camino, can't afford an ls1 or lt1. ebay has an elcamino with a 1990 tuned port corvette engine in it, anyone know the numbers on those blocks and heads? also what kind of power do they put out? Thanks for any help at all.

I'm at home now, but when I get to the office tomorrow I can look at my Corvette Blackbook for the casting numbers. The '90 year put out 240 or 245hp...

It doesn't matter if it's a matching #'s or not... it's in a non-matching car.

The only advantage to the 'Vette L98 is the 4 bolt main compared to the 2 bolt on the f-body. You're not gonna spin the motor past 5,500 rpm, so it doesn't matter anyway.

What ^^he^^ said... 245hp/345tq. 90 was the first year for speed density as well, though, I'm not sure what the person who swapped it into the El Camino would be running.
