i've seen some crazy hidden nitrous systems on goats. make sure to check it out real good. if hes just bolt ons you will smoke him for sure. good luck!!!

We have some GTO's around here, and they are slugs. If you can drive you'll hand him his lunch. Some drag radials you should be able to hit high 11's, again if ya can drive. Good luck

Be leary of the spray. I've seen them hidden under the intake and the bottles hidden in crazy places.

You should walk him easy if you don't miss a gear. I know guys spraying GTO's and running high 10's, but with just bolt-ons he won't run better than high 12's.

You must have crappy air around you then. There's NO reason a mild bolt on 05-06 GTO shouldn't be in the 12's.

My Z06 has a Hurst, TB and DR's!!! This GTO had over 5 grand in his motor, all bolt on's and a Fast 90 and a yank 3000 stall!!! I took a **** on him....

Definitly will video tape it. Cant do this race soon now because I broke my right hand this past weekend. This sucks. I might try to find a driver to do it because I dont wanna back down.

i have a 2001 C5 coupe A4 and my friend has a 2005 GTO M6 with cat back exhaust, cai, and tuner... and i have B&B bullets with a volant twin filter CAI.. we have raced many times for fun and the first race was from 30 mph and that was my transmissions dead zone and he pulled on me by only a half car but i cought him at 100... the second was from a dig and i got him by a fender but he says in was tie but i won at least thats what everyone said and he doesn't want to race again.... so if you have a Z06 witch is alot faster than my car you should absoultaly destroy him... it will only be a race if he has nitros and then you'll still probally win

Sorry, I meant to type better than "high" 12's. I've seen stock '05's run 13.0's all day long(then again the track(s) I go to is damn near at sea level)

Don't get me wrong, I am a Vette man myself and have an '08 on order, but I also owned a LS2 GTO, just beware. Don't let the weight bias fool you. that LS2 has got more than enough torque to overcome it. I had LT's, 224R cam and Converter and I got to run a flat 12.009. No pulleys and stock filter. So if he did his homework he can walk on you. don't let overconfidence be the one to beat you. If somebody else is gonna drive make them practice a lot. Traction will be your key to victory. So definately try to do this in a track to help the point. G/L

Sorry but this is irrelevant since a LS6 stock tends to dyno about 10rw (both hp/tq) higher than an LS2. The GTO weighs 600-800 lbs heavier than a C5 Z06. Depending on mods and tuning prowess, if applicable then maybe, but the GTO is at a huge disadvantage.
