C6Z shifter/**** on C5Z... same boot?
Just as the title says... I've pretty much decided I'm going to buy a C6 Z06 shifter/**** combo and I was wonder if those who have done it already used their stock boot or switched to a different one.

My C5 Zo6 came with a C6 Zo6 shifter and ****....
It has the stock C5 boot and it fits perfectly up to the bottom of the ****.
VERRRRRYY good shifter. Perfect balance and throw...
I don't know why people change 'em. Hell, I like the C6 item more than the super-stiff aftermarket ones...

I had to modify the boot on my 03Z to get the C6 **** to work. There is a gab of the sorts between the bottom of the **** and where you would grab it, looks like its there to fit the boot onto. I cut about 2 inches off the factory boot, and fit it around the base of the shifter. Looks great.
