Basic info. before buying 98 Vett?...
ok guys, I usually don't lurk around here, but I guess I must...
My dad is interested in buying a C5 Vett Convi. (mostly do to the liking he took to my Camaro)... and well there's 1 prospect that seems to be almost suspiciusly Cheap... (for the priced around here that are usually anywhere from $5-10K more expensive then in the States)
98' Vett...right under $20K, M6, Convertible, Red w/ Cream interiors and Black Top... we got a chance to look at it in a Lift... it's had body work and some of the air scoops for the front Brakes are missing, most just plastic underpinnings... the top has a few rips in it...and the interiors are OK, to say the best... we know they where changing the clutch and it had some serious RUBBER on the Inner Fender Wells...from all the burn outs...and it looked like it might need some future work...
ANYWAYS... so... My cuestion is... what are the weak Links of them Vetts?... I know that the LS1 is a great motor and very reliable (cause I got one ) but... what else could be a problem in them?
