Default C5 Drive train question

Have and 00 vette now and lookin at a 97 trans and rear end on ebay, question is are these the same cause I want to build a rearend/trans for my 00 C5 and just swap them to minize down time.

You can use the 97 transmission and rear end( differential ) in your 00.

Yes the 97-00 are the same. Get a torque tube and driveshaft from an 01+ car while you're at it, they are stronger than the earlier versions.
