Dissapointed!!
Well i went to the track last night and could not hook up for the life of me. I think my trap speeds are pretty good for being untuned and still throwing SES lights from the headers. These damn 275/40/17 summitomo HTRZ's are no track tires...lol here are the slips.
1st run. felt pretty good just didnt launch hard.
R/T- .447
60'- 2.470
330- 6.404
1/8- 9.429
mph- 82.19
1000- 11.966
1/4- 14.097
mph- 106.01
2nd run. spun bad.
R/T- .406
60'- 2.669
330- 6.561
1/8- 9.566
mph- 82.59
1000- 12.102
1/4- 14.233
mph- 106.12
3rd run. missed 4th and hit brakes early.
R/T- .103
60'- 2.538
330- 6.234
1/8- 9.289
mph- 83.38
1000- 11.789
1/4- 14.033
mph- 95.68
I know its my damn tires because i can't hook up. A tune would be a big help also. If i get some M/T radials, im scared ill break the damn rear end and i dont have money for a new one.
I know it takes practice, this was my first time out.

You will find that a stick car is so inconsistant, but on the plus side its always a challenge, you just need some seat time, your MPH is great, good for a high 12, you must be spinning horribly to loose that much ET, even with those 2.4 60fts, you can get some good DRs like MTs, but then you chance breaking things, the Nittos seem to be a better option, because they still spin, but will work much better then your standard run of the mill radial, I run Hoosier DRs, i love them, but with a tire like this, it hooks so hard it'll take **** out, my Ram clutch is already starting to slip, & i'm just a bolt-on LT1 car, its a vicious cycle lol, drag racing becomes sooooo adicting that it never ends, so you have choices to make IF you want to go faster, those choices become an adiction that never ends, you change one thing, then you have to change another & so on. Your car has ALOT left in it as it sits, you can either challenge yourself with seat time with the tires your running, or invest in some decent DRs, just remember if you do, you'll chance breaking things, either way, have fun

I ran my 94 the first time and ran 4 13.5xs at 108-110mph. I was runing 275 street tires. Tires make a huge difference IMO. I have sphon torque arm, lcas, panhard bar, lowered 2" and every bolt on asside from a supercharger, 3.73 gears with a 93 transmission too. Tires make all the difference in the world IMO.
