Default Got some more runs in

Went out to Speedworld Saturday night. They were hosting Arizona's Fastest Street Cars and doing the normal Saturday night drags. It was cool seeing the fast cars running.

I got to make 6 passes.
13.3 at 105
13.4 at 105
13.4 at 105
13.3 at 105
13.3 at 105
13.257 at 106.23, my best of the night. My 60fts were all 2.0s with one 2.1. I probably could have tried to pull out a faster run but I called it a night. It was a real surprise, I guess the air got cold enough to make a good run. I only have headers, lid and free ram air.

From what I saw, I was one of the fastest LSX cars out there that wasn't running in the competition. I wish the other Cameros, Firebirds and GTOs were running better than they were. But I had some fun and thats all that matters.

Congrats on the runs. Looks like a great bracket racing car.

hahaha, hey man I was out that night!

Had the black z/28 running 14.0 @ 108......with a 2.39 60' with traction control on

yeah 4.10's are a bitch

As soon as I got a helmet i made full passes, but the track tempts fell and I started having traction probs even in 3rd.

Need tires and suspension.

I remember that run. I lined up with you thinking sweet an interesting race. Then you fell back further and further and I was wondering wtf happened.

I thought they had the track prepped fairly decently. But I saw the GTOs having lots of traction issues off the line. One of my back tires is at the wear bar and the other is like 50%. I guess it was enough to hook up. I was ready to start feathering the throttle but it stuck so I just got a little more aggressive as the night went on.

Yeah I agree, track prep was pretty good. It was my first time to Speedworld and it seemed alot better than Firebird which I have only been to once as well.

I raced you in the beginning of the night when I didn't have a helmet, so I was letting off around the 1000'. I was just happy to be there and didn't want to get kicked off.

I am going again this wednesday night (tomorrow night). This time with a helmet and I hope to race around 6pm when the track temps are good. I am also gonna have a full tank of gas. Should run in the 13's but still probably not that good. My old GS-D3's dont hold worth crap. Can't wait to get some DR's.

I think I may head out there too. I just put on some new tires in the back and this will be a good excuse to break them in.

Think I may have to cruise out there and meet up with you guys....seeming as I live 10 mins away....... I went last friday but air was pure crap and car was running .3-.5 slower than before. Maybe we can get some good passes in if it doesn't rain! I am just afraid it's gonna rain tonight and be nasty as hell tomorrow

and LS1TORQ I pulled off one of those nice 2.4 60' myself friday night....talk about feeling bad and slow.....that'll do it

Ya it wasn't the greatest night for running. The best I could pull was a 13.5 at 103. Just wasn't cold enough. Oh well. At least the admission was half off and you got a free shirt out of it.

i knew you would be on this site... i was the guy on the red crotch rocket.. i assume your going tomorrow? i might try to head over there..

edit: i think we might be a decent race if i could cut my 60' down to about 1.8.. i ran a 12.96 with a 2.15 60'.. youll probably still beat me tho
