96 camaro LT1 mild cam, bolt ons, 3.73, MT drag radials
96 z28 lt1 stock heads and bottom end 174K miles
comp cam - .512"/521" 112LSA 206/212 .050 thats with 1.6 promag roller tip. (.480/.488" w/ 1.5 rocker ratio)
hardened rods, beehive springs
pacesetter quick trip LT ORY GMMG
3.73, jegster torque arm 2* pinion angle
adj. rear lower control arms and panhard rod
mickey thompson et street radials
slp springs and shocks
k&n cai, elbow and air foil stock 48mm and MAF
poly eng. and trans mount
msd 8.5mm wires
tuned pcm.. transgo shift kit fully installed.
I finally got a daily driver for myself this christmas and now at the first test and tune of the year I ran a 13.06 @ 104.22. 60' time of 1.803. 8.332 1/8 mile. Not the 12.9 exactly but i'll take it! my tires were brand spankin new (no burnouts) that was after the fourth run.. first three were horrible 13.6 (first time spun alot and after it shifted to second, it downshifted to first when it hooked, also let up before the red flags lol) and 13.4 (rolled forward while brake tourquing too much and messed me up but still had better 60') then let my brother drive it while in drive rather then overdrive, at the end of the 1/4 it did not shift to third or fourth, maybe the trans slipped we cant quite figure it out because it finshed at 98mph after he manually upshifted to overdrive.
I feel my 60' was only getting better and better and possibly would have had the 12.9 if I ran it a 5th time. My best run was right after my brother ran it and hit the rev limiter, grabbed it right from him at the return gate and ran within 30 minutes again. I was letting it cool down to about 180 after the first two runs.
There was alot of vibration at about 95mph+, im thinking pinion angle was a little too steep. Not sure if that would affect mph?

not sure about weight but after the first two runs I said hell with it and stipped the spare tire, jack, panels, floor mats, owners manual... anything that was easy to put back in a few minutes with no tools.
104.22mph... I feel my pinion angle is too steep or my cam is too small.. but at the same time I feel the cam is providing excellent torque.
more detailed slip:
R/T .184
60' 1.803
330' 5.364
1/8 8.332 @ 82.46
1000' 10.900
1/4 13.064 @ 104.22

thats how I feel too.. It was mail order tuned.
I had a 58mm throttle body on it for the longest time, then switched back to the stock 48mm (retuned) after going to school and learning my setup didnt require the 58mm... im starting to think it may.

I was brake torqueing at the line about 1500rpm, punched it on green, (i have a 1800 stall, probably isnt enough) The first run I did without a huge burn out and the tires were fresh and that time I really brake torqued and spun alot... If I did that after my 10 second burnout im sure it would have hooked alot better. I was just scared it would spin and do that downshift to first again.

I just picked up a B4C LT1 Auto a month ago and i'm hoping to take it to Byron soon, while my car has a hypertech tune I'm planning on taking it to Speed Inc in Schaumburg to have it tuned by the pros. I want to get the baseline numbers so I can see where I started before I start mods. I havent been to the track in a couple years, but it was totally different as i had a 99 Firehawk M6. Maybe i'll see you there!

not impressed at all. My bones stock 96 z with 160k a4 and 3.23 gear on a nitto drag radial ran 14.0
Then I ran long tubes with magnaflow catback and a k&n cold air kit it ran 13.56 with a 1.81
After that I put a 75 shot of spray and it ran 12.1 at a 1.6 short time and 111 mph
all in the midwest too.

im pretty much the same as you except I have more suspension and a 3.73.. That was the first run the tires were actually broken in..
I replaced my cam with a similar to factory one, I had a lobe destoryed.
trans was rebuilded due to mileage..

Stall, stall, stall. With just bolt-ons, you need at least a 2800 stall. That size stall would work perfectly with your small cam. You'd be amazed how much you would pick up with a quality stall converter. Driveability would still be great to boot.
