Default first time out with cage

this winter i did some weight reduction, switched to a 26x10.50 et street on race star wheels. the car weighs 3500 with me in it with 1/2 tank of fuel. the wheels are moving it least an inch on each pass on the left and about half as much on the right side. the da was at 2588 and my 60ft was 1.9xx at its best. im sure my springs and shocks are less than ideal. i had my fronts on #1 and rears on #4. unfortunately i never got that close to 11s today.

1st pass i had lots of wheel hop
two step set at 5200
60' 2.184
1/8 8.431 @ 90.81
1/4 12.736 @ 115.71

2nd pass lots of wheel spin.
two step set at 5500
60' 2.073
1/8 8.201 @ 91.08
1/4 12.492 @115.77

3rd pass and spin
two step set at 5400
60' 1.956
1/8 8.060 @ 91.14
1/4 12.342 @ 115.84

4th pass and again wheel spin
two step set at 5300
60' 2.016
1/8 8.146 @ 91.27
1/4 12.422 @ 116.08

so i am going to try using high tack for the tire bead and if that doesnt work then its time for scews

the only thing i can figure is its a stick car and i am droping it hard off a two step. last year i was destroying wheel 1/2" wheel studs. even shearded a set on the left side on launch.

Wheel hop is probably breaking your wheel studs. I find it real hard to believe that you are spinning the tire on the rim while spinning on the track. I would keep lowering your launch rpm until you bog then work on suspension settings.

Wheel stud massacre was due to my trial of a stock wheel with regular acorn lug nuts with 28x11.5 Hoosier QTP mounted. Yes they were spinning inside the rim each launch I don't know how else the two matched lines grew further apart each pass but they did unless the rim ferry was cleaning the spots and moving the painted portion. So now it's time for rim screws from summit which should be here in a couple days time. I might try moving the control arms up one hole and seeing what happens but so far she likes em on the bottom.
