Car slowing down in better DA?
Went to the track Friday night and only got a couple passes in but they were pretty bad.
DA was around 1950ft and best was a 12.04@111mph on a 1.77 60ft
For reference it ran 11.9s@112 on the same 60ft last month in over 3000ft DA.
I have another slip here at my desk from last Nov where it ran 11.79@114 on a 1.71 60ft in 1200ft DA.
I checked the log and it was running a perfect 12.7 air fuel and 27* timing. Other than the 60ft being a little slow because I didn't drop the sway bar, it seems like the car is missing a little bit even correcting for DA.
It was severely humid to the point all my tools and stuff was coated in water by the time we packed up. I've heard sometimes DA correction is accurate when it's that humid but I don't know if that's true.
Any thoughts?
The previous best for the car is 11.67@116mph on a 1.70 60ft in 940 DA and it was running that consistently 2 different trips to the track. Times will all seem slow compared to fbodies due to the front of the car being a brick.
Race weight is 3650-3700 lbs depending on fuel level.

I remember you posting about low MPH for your setup in the past. Maybe there is electronic variance with your track's speed timers from day to day?
It is not uncommon for a track to read significantly different MPH in the right lane VS the left lane on the same day.
It is not always an exact science regarding DA. There are some tracks where heat doesn't slow you down as much as others.

Transmission went out yesterday (no forward gears or reverse with no noise or metal) but I do not think it is related as there was no slip. The car was crossing the stripe at just around 5200rpm if I remember correctly.
Could be converter failure, input shaft, or fluid pump I would think...it's not dropping fluid level running.

I had similar issues in my car, slower in lower DA, I had tailwind in higher DA and headwind in higher is what I blame it on, and also at my track the tower lane is always 4mph slower trap speed with same ET, track knows it they just don't care

Well I haven't got the trans out yet to see what's wrong, but I read a post where someone mentioned they had a seen a converter failure in a car that was running poorly right before...like not pulling hard up top.
My 60ft was slow (1.77-1.8 versus 1.67-1.72 normal) and the car was down 2-3mph in 1/8th and 1/4. Maybe the converter is to blame here?
I'll update when I know.
