Default who has hit 11s with stock internals and no power adder?

like the subject says........no motor work, no forced induction.....and was the rear axle already done? a4 or m6? just wondering......if i asked this in the wrong forum, somebody can punch me....

EDIT: ok, i just looked in the "11 second club forum" maybe i should have done that first.......most of the n/a,si guys are doing it with weight, tc, and a moser with 4+ gears......at least that's what it seems like....

There is a lot of guys who run 11s with stock internals, there is a list some where, I think the best is like 11.02??? I may be wrong but that is with a lot of weight reduction, Steep gears, and 3800+stall converters(not to many 6spds in the mid to low11s with stock internals though). but there are quite a few in the high 11s with full bolt ons and minimal weight reduction or none at all. I am at 12.32 with mods in my sig with a 3450 raceweight I am planning on 11s soon with a couple more mods

yeah, i guess that answers my question more or less: but how many do it and retain some semblance of every day driveability? it looks like you will be but what's the least somebody's done(n/a and stock internals) and still got an 11 out of an f body? i'd like to see the list and mods if anyone ever finds it......no big deal, like i said, i'm just wondering

the list should be in this forum, if you search for it. I believe the only weight reduction I had when i did it was !jack/spare, !back seats, prostars all around, and lightweight kmember. every bolton available at the time, a 4000 stall, & 3.73's gave me an 11.79@113. IMO, it is much easier for an A4 to do it.

Mine is in the sig. Only weight reduction I had was !spare/jack, !pass seat, and Prostars. I have a few more things done to it and some more weight reduction now, but it still is my daily driver. Just waiting on some cold air to make it down here now

You dont have to get too radical to run 11's with stock internals. I done it with a 2600 stall, I think I still had the stock 3:23's. I had most of the bolt ons, no UD pulley. Minor weight redution, spare tire & jack, pass. seat, front sway bar and skinnes up front.

i did it with basic bolt-ons (lid, filter, pulley, headers, etc) and a high stall converter w/3.42 gears.
best with Vig3600: 11.710 @ 114.46
best w/YPT4400: 11.55 @ 115.36

well, i've got an 11.92 @ 114.00 on a 1.68 with slicks at 3800 race weight. i've wondered more times than i can count on why i have barely squeeked into the 11's when i've done TEA 5.3 heads with 1.5 porting, comp. 224/228 .581/.581 114*, ls6 intake, mac mids and cats w/FM muffler, TCI SSF converter, 12 bolt w/4.11's, pulley, free mods, whisper & k&n, 27" et streets & skinnies, etc. etc. the only thing i can atribute my lack of success in going any faster is my trans. it has a Transgo kit in it set at the hardest level, supposedly, but i have to shift at 5900 to get it to hit the next gear at my pre-determined 6400rpm shift point.......i have time to yawn while i shift.

anyway, sorry, not trying to steal this thread. i'm just curious how so many guys go faster than me with so much less?!?!?!?! and so much less money. VERY AGGRAVATING!!!!

later guy,
Dave

ps---any thoughts? PLEASE HELP...and p.m. me so as not to hijack this thread any further.

hijack away, dude.......my guess is a lot of it's tuning? in your case, with me, i don't know....the thing with my car is when i bought it the kid i got it from said he ran it and went 13.5 at 110(he couldn't hook up with crappy tires....so i'm think right away, high 12 car........i was somewhat dissapointed when the first time i went i couldn't only get a 13.1 at 107......the reason i'm throwing that out there is that since that run, when the car pry needed a tune in the first place, i added a rear swaybar and macs with dual cutouts and i'm down to 12.5 at 112 with 1.8+ 60s....still with no tune....there is a lot of weight taken out, but i would have to think the main reason cammed cars are running slower is tuning or maybe i got lucky with a good combination of parts.....both my runs were 80f/80%hum/30density days........i'm awfully tempted to go out and get a tc and cooler now.....must be strong
