Default Famoso Dragstrip race results

Well, went down to Famoso Friday night for a test and tune session, first time since my first time in my TA, which I ran a 12.76 @ 111.16 MPH with stock exhaust, street tires and stock tune. I was quite disappointed with my results. I installed a set of LT headers, ORY and ET Street radials which work AWESOME BTW. Also had Jesse Bubb from Wait4Me tuning (mail order-style) send me a PCM for my combo. I had numerous problems, but first time out, ran 12.60 @ 112.35 MPH. 2nd pass I ran 12.43 @ 112.27 MPH with a 1.850 60'. The other 2 passes I had computer problems due to excessive launching G's which forced the battery posts into my AC tubing, which shorted and reset the PCM while accelerating (yes, I know... the damn battery hold down wasn't installed correctly before purchasing the car). Best 60' was 1.810, but my ET's didn't improve as well as I would have figured, and I KNOW I should be running a lot more than 112 MPH VS the 111 I had with stock exhaust and stock comp. Any ideas what might be happening? Jess said he will guarantee me that his tune provided me with no less than 25 rwhp, or my $ back, and it seemed to pep up the bottom end, but with 4.10's, I can't really utilize that. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated, we're going back down there for an ET series race (test and tune also) with the battery properly clamped down, and want in the 20's @ 115+. Hope to hear from you guys!

I would get the battery hold down fixed and than go back to try it again. I bet that you will see much improvment on your times. When the battery grounds out it kills everything on that run(et & mph).

I'm not sure it did it every time. 2 passes I know it did because everything reset and the gauges swept back and forth and the odo reset. I guess my mail order tune is leaned out too far, because the car idles awesome, and has excellent low-end response and torque, but didn't feel a difference up top. I just need to bust out a 1.80 60' like I almost did and get my MPH up, I'll be knockin snake eyes. Gonna run my stock PCM on saturday, see what happens...

http://pontiac.wirelesstcp.net/tonyp...m/tony1243.mpg (hit rev limiter in 2nd, tach said 5800)

http://pontiac.wirelesstcp.net/tonyp...m/gto1295.mpeg (you can see the back tires lock up when it stuck in gear and the battery shorted against the AC lines and reset my computer, boy was that scary)

My dad is driving the ol' 68 GTO, I built the 428 in that hog a couple years back, engine has 260 1/4 mile passes on it and still runs great. You guys think it's just a fuel trim problem with my low *** MPH?
