First time to the strip.
Well here are the numbers that I put down last night. (on street tires)
R/T- .546 (terrible)
60'- 2.130 (sucks because of my R/T
1/8- 8.928 82.16mph
1/4- 13.636
105.80
My 60' times need to come down, and my R/T as well. Heres the problem that I ran into. I can't drive my car. I can drive it, but I can't figure out how to get a good launch. M6, tried to bring it up to 2K and let the clutch out, spun through 1st, brought it up to 1500 spun through first. My reaction times suck because I have to let the clutch out so slow to keep the tires from spinning. I am sure a set of DRs would help but i think its more than that. If anyone can give me tips on how to launch the stupid car that would be great. I think with a good hard launch I could achieve low 13's or high 12's.

Your 60' has nothing to do with your reaction time. You could sit still for 2 seconds, and then take off, and still run a good time, or pull a good 60', your time doesn't start until you break out of the last beam. The best thing to do, is to keep practicing.

Are you dumping the clutch? You want to try and slip it, if not the tires will break loose on ya. The only real way of getting better is by practice. Just keep going to the track until you find a method that works best for you. Good luck!

White TA is right, your R/T has nothing to do with your 60ft, or E.T. it just tells you how fast you react to the light.
Im in the same boat as you though, I can't break a 2.1 60ft. I think I'm gonna try slipping the clutch around 1250 rpms, Im heading tomorrow nite to try it out.
