Default How can i improve my times???

Well a few weeks ago i took the TA to the track it was pretty hot out but here's the best i could do

60' 2.195
1/8 9.014
MPH 81.66
1/4 13.824
mph 101.96

I know the 60' can be better but the car won't let me launch past about 1200-1500rpm any higher an the tires break loose at the line while i'm brake torquing it. Am i doing something wrong? Or is that just the nature of the car and i need some more grip? When i launch at 1200-1500rpm the car bogs a tad on the launch and then comes to life, no spin at all maybe a slight chirp. I'm new to the ls1's so i don't know any tricks or nothing to get these to launch any better. Thanks

Also the track elevation is low so that has nothing to do with the slower times.

thats good first time out, try launching off idle, or just around 1000 rpm, just get in as many runs as possible

I don't think launching lower will help the 60' will it? I'd see it bogging more maybe not i'll try it.

I'm going to take the jack an spare out next time lower the tire pressure been launching in D should i take it down shifter down to 3 or anything? You guys think a cutout would help? The exhaust is all stock except for a magnaflow catback but the stock y-pipe looks really restrictive being an oval shape an so small.
