Talking 2.73 LT1 pullin a wheel last night

so last night, and jackson SC, i ran my car. i unhooked the sway bar and bolted on the ET streets 26x10.5x16) and my 120 shot (51N 31F NOS style) and i pulled the left front wheel!!!

copied straight off the timeslips, my camera sucks too bad for the pic to turn out...gonna borrow my friends camera tomorrow and get a pic, video still not up yet

1000 10.142
1/4 12.209
mph didnt work on the right lane last night

330 5.023
1/8 7.851
mph 87.26
1000 10.285
1/4 12.357

ALL MODS
Moroso Cold air intake
NX solenoids, NOS fogger nozzle, 51N 31F(NOS jets)
Unhooked exhaust at the cat
Computer tune (similar to hypertech, but its a custom tune with raised line pressure)
M/T ET Streets 26x10.5x16 (brand new, had some of hte sticker still on em when i ran the first time
Eibach sportline springs in the front, stock springs in the rear
Unhooked front sway bar

thats it, as soon as the video is up, i will post a link.

bad news, the posi went out on the 3rd run's burnout, and i 1 wheel drive'd it to a 1.7 60'

no stall, just footbraked and sprayed off the line...and away she goes.

2.73 gears, stock converter is what i had on that pass

but since i think i broke the posi last night (one wheely peely on the last run) i will be moving up to a 3.42 gear, with a 2400 stall this spring/summer

its still my daily driver...besides, my torque in the LT1 is about 2400 already, so if i can launch about 2000-2200 rpm, i should be pretty good

i'm surprised you guys believe me, cz28.com think i'm lying lol

A stock convertor?? Okay now I'm calling I don't think there is any way considering I've gone 1.51 60 foot N/A with 3.73 gears and a 3800 stall 10" convertor that a stock GM 12" convertor and 2.73 gears will get you that kind of 60 foot. The speed was pretty low for a 12.20 pass but I figured that was because of the killer launch. But a stock convertor? How about a real timeslip and/or pictures for verification? I could be wrong here, but this is a little far-fetched.

those are my two best slips (out of 3 runs)

the video was inconclusive, but the 1.5 run def. shows a lot more body lift on the front than the one where we got a better angle and me being in the right lane, but unfortunately, i ran the left lane and forgot they were filming on the first run of the night (1.5 60' run)

oh well, i am happy

oh, and the right lane's timing lights were messed up from an 03 cobra blowing up and taking out half the wall at the end of the track a month ago, so trap speeds arent correct on the right lane slip (the 1.5 60' one)

video link momentarily

He's running a 120 shot. I'd think the extra added torque would help him scoot out of the hole.

Nice takeoff, but your track sucks ***. Who the hell designed a track that goes uphill???????????? That Evo owner didn't take off so well.

I also didn't see the tire lift up, but your car did take off really quickly.

yeah

its an IHRA track, so the big fast NHRA guys cant run there because not enough runoff at the end.

it goes uphill about 100-200 feet after the finish light.

it helps save the horrible LT1 brakes from warping and catching on fire and hating me. lol

I stand corrected. Car pulls hard for a stock convertor, I've never seen one pull like that before, but I guess as they say there is a first time for everything!
