Why do you think the guy wants to go from a roll??????? I have an 01 gixxer 1000 and I love to race from a roll! These things are bastards to launch and unless he is really good you could get a good jump on him IF you have slicks. Most of the riders around here have trouble getting a sub 2.00 60ft so I say race from a stop Its your best chance to beat the rider. If you go from a roll you have to beat the bike cuz all he has to do is nail the throttle and shift.DO NOT RACE FROM A ROLL ESPECIALLY AT THAT SPEED!!!!!!!

I have to agree with loudmouth on this one your car will make good power on that set up. My car is very similar to yours and I went 10.4 at 132mph with a 1.61 60' and that wasnt even off my trans brake. But power isnt everything you have to get the car to work for you. Also I think going from a dig will be better for you if you hook. Also you say cobras with 575rwhp will take them also remember boosted cars on the street from a roll are awesome. So best of luck to you.

This post has to be a joke right? You can't honestly believe that you car is going to run with that bike. My "brother" has one with a stretch and a program and it will go into the nines with little or no problem. Good luck, but race for fun, or he will be taking home your grocery money, and man does having to eat tuna fish that has been in the cabinet for a while suck.

Definately don't go from a roll! You will be smoked very badly. My GSXR 1000 pulls like hell from 4K and up. Definately go from a stop.

Only actually seen one fbody pull on a GSXR 1000. Took a lot of cubes and a 150 shot.

730 rwhp. Here is the vid.

http://www.blackssei.com/nick/SSvsGSXRvsZX12.wmv

And this is what it looks like on the speedo (same car) when you can move as fast as a bike with 1000+ ccs.

http://www.blackssei.com/nick/nick55-155final.wmv

Basically, you're DAYYYYSSSS away from hanging with that bike. Your setup would let you hang with a bike probably Pre 2001 600cc MAYBE a 750 if you can drive. Other then that, I think you're SOL.

Just devide power by weight and you'll know basically what's faster.

Gotta figure your car on a 100 shot with everything you said and on the 100 shot might yeild you 630 at the motor and that might be a little high. And for argument we'll say your car weighs 3500lbs and thats light.

630 / 3500 = .18 power to weight.

The GSXR with a 150lb driver is probably close to 600lbs and it has around 160hp STOCK.

160 / 600 = .26

Giving you the advantage and maybe even overweighing the bike, you're not even close. The car in the video I showed you puts probably 830bhp and is about 3600 lbs.

830 / 3600 = .23

It's still not the same power to weight as the GSXR, but a lot more comes into play, such as gearing, air drag and whatnot, but it's a lot closer then your .18

No chance. Stay away from the bikes until you get your car in the low 11's

On the street the bike will have a major advantage from a dig. Better off to go from 60+. You cant launch like a bike on the street unless you have some serious rubber. Pluss their first gear is off the hook.

No car should be racing heads up ONE LITER bikes in the first place, mostly a street/drag car and do that.

You need spots to mess with one liter bikes, just race 600s and 750s and get SPOTS@!!!!!!!!

Why are you only spray a 100shot? You do know your car can take alot more than that.

On a stock bottom end? I don't think it's worth the risk personally.

Yeah there 1st gear is off the hook mine hit about 80 in first. A roll from 60 would be a bad idea. Most of the riders around here with liter bikes have trouble getting a sub 2.00 60ft w/o wheelying which would be no problem for a stalled ls1 on drs.Of course most the riders around here are spoiled rich kids with little experience

True, however I think he's screwed either way. Can't really spray 1st on the street, even with DR's. He'll just go up in smoke. Then once he hits about 53mph, assuming his rev is set to 6700 or so, hes gonna need to shift with the 3.73s. Thats when the bike is going to go flying past him. After that hes ginna have a hell of a time catching up.

If he goes from a roll at 60.... well preferably 70 would be better for him with 3.73's he'd be right in 3rd gear power range and would be able to spray right away. His cam isn't gonna really get him moving untill about 90 anyway. if he can't keep up then, he never will.

My best is a 9.86 @ 143 on my stock gsxr 1000 in real nice weather. Ran some 10.0's and 9.90's as well, but it's 9 second bike nonetheless. If you are trapping 140's, then you might have a chance.
