I think the NOS is gonna blow the welds on your intake. It'll create so much torque you'll twist the chassis coming off the line. I think the real problem here is granny shifting and not double clutching like you should
Sorry, I'm running on a few hours of sleep and it's put me in a very strange mood this morning. Carry on and good luck fixing the launching issues.

Take it froma guy who has been racing, you CAN launch higher and keep the rear alive, its called riding out the clutch. I am NOT saying you should but thats been the only thing that has enabled a 1.7x 60 foot and cut a good ET.
BUT now your on a clutch exchange program.
Ragardless once you get the rear, put a bias ply slick on it and your going o fly.

Since our t-56 have a crappy 1st gear, it needs the RPM.
Riding the clutch puts the rpms high and not letting them drop, if they do, you bog. BUT you WILL KILL THE CLUTCH.

How the hell are you hooking up enough to bog the car launching at 4k on street tires?
You must REALLY be riding that clutch. Get some tires on the car and if you're buying a new rear anyways, launch the hell out of it until it breaks. (unless it's your daily driver, then DO NOT put tires on that car and stop riding the clutch so much because it's not gonna last long).

If you dump, its a INSTANT hit, all 350+ rwhq to the tires is a HUGE hit, much bigger then auto's see.
