Drag slick comparison
Has anyone switched from Hoosier 28x10x15 or M/T ET Drag 28x10x15 to M/T ET Drag 28x10.5Wx15? If so, how much better did the 10.5W tires hook up?

When I went from a 28x10.5 and 29x10.5 to a W tire, I found that I gained consistency in the 60' times but did not actually see any better 60's.
If you can fit it, I would go with the Hooiser 29x10.5W since the extra diameter will give a little better traction over a 28", while the stiff construction will make the sidewalls last longer than an M/T.
I have been able to run my Hoosiers tubeless with little pressure loss where the M/T's went flat the next day.

I tested the MT & Hoo 29 X 10. Both inconsistant, both had short life. Had plenty of rubber left,
just stopped working & ate up sidewall. Started using Hoo 29 X 10.5W. Much less aborted runs, &
started getting 20-25 pass' if I rotated every 5 pass'. Best 60' the car ever had, even with smaller engine.
Good luck.

I called both Hoosier and M/T about the sidewall issue. Hoosier told me to go to a 28x10.5 Stiff if I was killing their 29x10.5W's while M/T said to run their 29.5x10.5 Stiff with a tube.
Although the Hooiser W's are a "stiff" tire where a M/T is not, they are not as stiff as the 28's, which was explained as a result of both the construction and the shorter sidewall.
I may try the 28's though since the 29.5's would rub (diameter wise) and I don't want to run tubes.
