315-35-17 DR vs 275-60-15 slicks
I ran down to test and tune on sunday and had a few traction issues with the MT DR's so i am thinking about going to a full slick. My question is will going to a slick give me greater traction and better 60 times vs the DR's.
I love the DR's on the street but i hate burning up my street tires at the track and i still have some room left on my converter to leave a little harder since the highest i could ever leave was around 2400-2500 on a 3200 stall converter if i went any higher i was just spining.
Any help would be appreciated. I just looking for some input before spending the money on a new set of tires.
I did try a few diffrent pressures from 20psi to 30 psi and still had very little luck hooking at higher RPM's

with a turbo setup you want taller gearing (taller tire = taller gearing), and the side wall is only going to help traction. what brand tire are you running? what pressure? what do you have done suspension wise?
