Default 2gauge battery wire for relocation?

About 2 years ago I ran 2gauge wire for relocating my battery to the trunk in my 94 z28. Everytime I try to start the car it slowly drags then will fire up. Would I notice a difference with 0/1 gauge? Anyone have this same problem

I run 2 guage and works great so far. I only drive it maybe once every week and a half. I see a lot of guys running welding leads though

I ran 1/0 welding cable to the starter and a# 8 to the PCM power block (fuse block) Mine would reset the PCM when the motor was hot. This fixed it.

I just ordered everything I needed to relocate mine, I am planning on using 1 gauge from bat -- cutoff switch -- starter -- stock junction box

and 8 gauge

alt -- bat side of cut off switch

other sidde of cutoff swith -- relocated fuel pump relay/fuse -- fuel pump (control the voltage loss to the pump through the stock wire routing, similar to the kits that used to be sold)
