Default I busted my output shaft! Anyone else?

Last sunday I busted my output shaft at the track, first pass. Car has a S60, strange DS, Mcleod Street Twin, 425rwhp, tires are 275/50-15 MT DRs at 16 psi with a nice 2nd gear burnout dumped at 5k.
Anyone else break one? If so what did it take to do it in? Seems like I just got unlucky. What do you think?

Did it destroy the tail housing? Where is your torque arm mounted? Kind of low hp to be breaking output shafts.

I'm an auto and I snapped mine with just bolt ons. Went through three pairs of nitto dr's then about 3k hard miles into my first pair of Mickey Thompsons did it in, I snapped mine on the 1-2 shift WOT on the street... Took the rear planet gear and sunshell with it also cracked my tailhousing... Here's some carnage pics...

Thanks!
This is my 4th F-body. This was always my favorite of them all, so when i found a clean one I had to have it.
I hope that the trans lasts a bit longer this time.

I broke mine last year...Damage looked similar to 01ws666's carnage...Was on my 7th wheels up launch adjusting my shocks to be on the verge of tire shake...Guess what? Found it! And I'm an A4 also..
