Cruise Control For Line Lock Button?

Cruise Control For Line Lock Button?
Just curious if anyone has used the end button for the cruise control as their momentary switch for line lock activation? I'm referring to the button on the very end of the signal lever. If ya wanted to get real stealthy, I guess you could use the orginal on/off switch as the arm/disarm, then use the end button to activate the line lock. ? I searched for this but came up with nothing.
My car is a 6sp so I want to be able to shift while in the burnout box, but I don't want the button anywhere on the shift ****. FWIW, I don't use the cruise control anymore.

I installed mine on my washer switch on my Fox Body Mustang, so yes, it can be done. I did not run any extra relays though, just ran it through the factory setup, and worked fine. Not sure if teh Fbody relay/fuse for your cruise will handle the draw, but my washer setup on teh Fox Body was fine. Never had a problem.

You can run a LL from any switch in your vehicle. Some switches may not be rated for the LL solenoid. If in doubt, it’s a simple solution to add a relay as a safeguard. They are about 5-10.00 which is less expensive than having to replace a stock switch on the car.
You can consider running a SPDT switch so the stock button is double duty. Throw the switch to position A, the button controls the stock function, throw it in position B, it now controls your auxiliary function.
We include with our kits, two switches and an LED. One switch deactivates the whole circuit, the other controls the line lock solenoid. If any of our customers need schematics for customization, please let me know.

Thanks Steve,
I bought my ABS Delete and LL kit from you guys a couple months ago and I might take you up on that offer to draw up a schematic. Electrical wiring is not my strong point. I also have a wiring schematic of the stock cruise control circuit if that helps. ?

when i had my Z28, i had the LL wired through the cruise switch. i also used a relay to do it. i set it up where flipping the cruise switch to on would power the circuit & pushing the set button on the end of the switch activate the LL. it was very stealthy & kept me from having to route a bunch of wiring through the car. i also just realized how old this thread is! i found it while on a search

Ive been doing the cruise control switch for my nitrous for over 4 years. I have also wired in the steering wheel switches for nitrous/ line lock switches as well. I even wired up cruise control switches, foglight switches, even hvac switch to allow operation of nitrous, linelock and others.
