3.70 or 3.89 with 150 shot with....
I'm about to put 150 shot of nitrous on top of a maybe 380rwhp due to the fact I now have a moser 9". I am wanting to switch my 4.22 gears to either 3.70 or 3.89 gears. I will be using 26" slicks through a 96 camaro t-56 trans.
According to the calculator 4th gear shifting at 6400rpms with 3.70 will get me 133 mph and 3.89 will get me 127mph. Which I know these numbers can change somewhat since slicks can grow in size. Do u think I can reach 133mph in th 1/4 mile or would the the 3.89 at 127mph seem more achievable? Thanks for any help.

I was running a 150 shot on top of 390 NA rwhp and with 4.10s, T56 and a 25.7 tire, I was on my 6800 limiter at 124 mph BEFORE the traps....Once I let it hit the limiter, the other passes I let off the juice. Now I have 3.70s in a 9" and I will run a 26x10 ET STREET...I know it won't be enough gear for NA but it should leave me plenty of room on the spray. Eventually I will have a big motor and bigger spray and I will still have enough RPMS to trap well. I figure I can go 135mph on a 26" with a 6800 limiter....I just need another 200hp to do it....LOL
I think a 3.90 would be a good choice for motor and spray if you are stuck on a 26" tire..
