Default Roll cage, what times do you need them

my car runs too quick at my local track, so ive been looking into getting a cage. I know they have roll bars, 6p,8pt, and 10pt cages. I was wondering how fast you had to run to need each of those cages.

I assume T-top car? in the 1/4:

11.49--10.00=5pt minimum "roll bar". Can be bolt or weld in. This is the group that 6 and 8pt rollbars fall under. Must be at least 1 3/4" CM or MS

9.99--8.50=10pt "rollcage" minimum. You can go 1 5/8 on this one. It has to be NHRA certified.

8.50 and faster=25spec cages

This is very general. Contact NHRA to get a rulebook to get more exact info!

CM=Chromoly
MS=Mild Steel

CM has to be tigged in, but MS can be migged and/or tigged

yes, it is nice. I also didnt want to make a misstake of buying the wrong cage. looks like the 8pt will work just fine for me.
