Wish my front end on my personal car was like yours! Soo much room to work on the car.

Nice work!

Just curious, what are you using to cut the plate stuff?

I'm going to try to get the engine bay painted Friday...have a few things left to do though first...

weld up back side of two bars where my fuel cell mounts

move the hole where the BS3 harness came thru the firewall...need to weld in a circular plate and drill a new hole

need to cut an old set of tabs off each wheelwell (my old style travel limiters)

need to cut and shape the passenger shock tower (removes about 1 more lb of dead weight)

weld in some nuts for the HVAC delete plate (so I don't need to hold them with a wrench when installing)

Have you considered cutting a strip out around where the trans tunnel meets the firewall and making it removable? It makes pulling the trans much easier.... just roll back the carpet, pop that plate off, and all the bolts are right there.

bolting the trans in is the easy part of trans installation...getting it in the trans tunnel with the 25.3 cage is the hard part

I have a question about how the hood is attached. I just got my sunuco hood in and the front end attaching kit from VFN. I have not started disassembling the fenders yet.
How are you attaching the dzus bases to the fenders?
Is the front end (fenders/nose) removed first to attache the dzus fasteners?

Thanks

I did all the dzus with the front end on the car...they are 90deg brackets that are bolted to the fenders.

That is what I thought, but I still have the metal inner fenders. If I screw to them, then I couldn't make the front removable..lol I know you have removed all that material, but before you did that, how did you do it?

I have not removed my fenders, or even started with mounting the hood, so please excuse my ignorance if this is a stupid question..
