Stock tank - estimate amount of gas?
I was planning on leaving in the stock tank, and I was going to empty out the pump gas, and then add in the race gas.
I know with fuel cells, guys will just use a paint stick or something, and know how much more gas to add after a pass...any ideas on how I can do that? Obviously there is the fuel gage, but do I want the car running and then just add gas until i'm at 1/4 tank or something?
Suggestions?
I know I could go to a 3-5 gallon cell, but then it would be a pita to connect the fuel likes from stock to the cell, no?

I'm not completely sure what you're asking. Looking to run least amount without running out of gas?
My "check gauges" light has come on quite a few times without me running out of gas. Could always go by that. Put about 1/8th in and add gas when light comes on.
I guess the only concern may be the sloshing around if it's too low. 2 gallons in a 16gallon tank is going to move around much more than 2 gallons in a fuel cell. Could the pickup be uncovered on launch? What is the magic number? Not sure. Always ran at 1/8 to 1/4 tank without issue.

well I'm trying to think of a way to keep the same amount of fuel in the car before each run, without going to a cell and having an easy way to check it.
I haven't a clue what i'll use in fuel per run
