Drag only torque arm
I've searched but did not find the answer - what torque arms lengths are considered long and short?
I am going to put a F Body rear suspension setup and torque arm in my car, but the wheelbase is 109" vs. 103" for the F-Body. The car will weigh 3600-3700 lbs., and will go high 10's with an 3 speed automatic and 5800 stall. 60 ft. is everything to me, all I care about is getting the best E.T. possible, who's and what length torque arm is recommended?
Thanks

I'm running a BMR Extreme torque arm and it's a short style, also with a TH400 at 3,500lbs and I've been a couple 10.06's. Looking to get into the singles here soon. Been some 1.30's too.

thats not what u want to do. you want to lift the car with the SFC not the tranny mount. use 12 in muffler with turn downs works just fine.

Problem is etown's noise rules, we have to be under 90 db there, and the exhaust I have now (3.5 inch dual with super 44 mufflers) works for that, and it doesn't choke the car off at all.
I'm looking at a couple possible ways to make this work, one option, was putting a bar thru the floor that would both double for chassis cert upgrade later and mount the tq arm, other was possibly redoing the exhaust with oval piping, which I'm not 100% will work, but if it will, that might do the trick as well.
Belive me if it was as simple as putting Madman's arm in I would have already done it.
