Lt1 fans bolt up to ls1?

Are lt1 fans a plug and play on an ls1? I've heard of people running them and then unbolting one of the two fans to lose 6ish pounds...

Any info on this out there? I've searched a ton!

Hrmm, my setup weighs more than 12lbs iirc. Not sure that one fan would move enough air to cool a motor, they are pretty small by themselves.
