When to change from a tranny mount TQ. Arm?
At what point is a tranny mount Torque Arm not enough for launching. I plan to do many 5k+ launches on slicks and shoot for 1.5-1.6 60'. Is this style not going to make it?

BMR rates there's for low 11's. Yank sell this crossmember that uses a trans mount TA and mounts it to the crossmember so you don't break the tailshaft.

From everything that I have read, the majority of people that seem to have problems with torque arms that attach to the tailshaft, are the people who have a steel driveshaft and are on the dyno. I don't really understand the correlation between the two, but it seems to hold pretty true.
Before I owned my car, it had a tailshaft broken on the dyno with what I believe was a stock TA. I have cut at least 10-20 low 1.5 60' times with a Random Tech (stock style) TA in my almost full weight convertible with no problems so far.
Gizmo, what were you wearing out on the torque arm?

Thanks for your response. My suspension is bmr adj lcas, reloc brackets, adj panhard, bilsteins, prokit. I just changed to 4.10s and it seems like i can really feel the stock TA flexing. I would also like to get an adjustable one to get my pinion angle right. I think from what you guys have said that a trans mount TA would be ok for my 3600 lb 400rw car. Thanks again.
