Default Quick Na Lt1

First let me say that Sammy Vedros from Louisiana runs a 1st gen na 396 Lt1 with an automatic. Sammy just changed from the stock computer to a Acell Dfi Gen 6. In 70 degree heat with higher than average humidity he ran 9.55 at 139.88. The reason that the et is not better considering the mph is that he spun to a 1.36. This car has been 1.29 when running 9.70's. Just an example of what can be done with a old school bracket car with a fuel injected powerplant. Look for this car to go 9.30's na soon. Frank95z

Joe i'm sure that your new combo will do fine out of the gate Sammy just switched to DFI and its one of the old units that he got from a stocker guy that switched to Gen7. He has to learn to tune it. For now he is running the generic program that the software provides. That being the page where they ask what hp/torque/injectors etc and the computer creates a program. He went out last Wednesday in cooler and better air and ran the same times so from that we believe that the car needs more fuel tuned in. But the tuneup he has now works good in warm weather and our cool weather is about gone so he is going to use the spring/summer season to learn the system. Also last weekend our friend the "Country Dog" set the C/FIA record at the Houston points meet. He ran 10.68 at 3450#s you know that after teardown there was a little Good luck Joe. Frank95z
