problems starting car after batt. moved?

Default problems starting car after batt. moved?

Well after I moved the battery to the trunk It is realy hard to start the car now! Does anyone else have this problem and what gauge wire are you using? I think the wire size my be the problem?

Do you have an optima, is it in good shape? I have the "2 guage-Cable kit from Summit cost $25". Starts up right away.

I am going to buy a new optima anyways to see but other than that yeah 2gauge. I am changing the 2gauge to 1gauge thinker braided copper. And see what happens!

if the problem lies in the cable you can test for it.
Take a volt meter & place it on + battery terminal & the starter terminal.
It cannot exceed .40-.50 volts while cranking engine.
You can test the - side the same - term to the block.
If it exceeds these you need to step up the wire gauge.
The starter & battery must be normal/operational at time of test.
