Default Good,Bad or So-So?

1998 Trans Am A4/3.23

TSP Lid
QTEC 3" cut-out
TCI SSF3500
BFG DR 255/50/16
Free mods
Gutted Cats
no tuning

Byron Dragway

12.917@105.45 1.800 60' (1.822 on next run)
Raceweight 3455lbs (I weight 185)

Around 60 degrees. No idea what the DA was.

I met Jay from Speed Inc while I was there. Real nice guy. He thinks I should get a basic tune to get rid of TM and move the shift points around a bit. I think that sounds like a good idea.

My question here is what do you guys think of them times? They seem slow to me.
I ran a best of 13.39@103 last year.No converter, cats were still working and using Yokohama 245/16 all seasons. Raceweight last year was 3520lbs. Average 60' was 2.0.

thanks

Not bad at all,get some more traction with sticky tires and watch those e/t's drop like mad. Very nice.

The mph looks like mine.... low. But really its not too bad. I'de try for some different tires and maybe work with the launch and GET a tune!

Those were the first two runs ever with those tires and the converter. I didn't have any time to get things sorted before the told me I had to have a helmet

So I watched a little bit and then took off.

I thought the BFG's were hooking GREAT for what they were. I was break stalling to 2k and then rolling into the gas.I felt I could have easilyu gotten much more aggressive on the launch. A 1.8 60' (mine) was the best I saw from the minor bolt on LS1 cars. They were all running from 2.1 to 2.3 60's on Nitto drags.

Thanks for the info guys.

I thought I would be going a little quicker than 12.90's. I'm a little dissapointed. I am at least into the 12's now which is alot better than the 13's

From the info I can find Byron is round 750ft above sea level.
