Question M6 to A3 Switch - Need a little help

I am switching from an M6 to A3 (TH-400), w/4000 stall, transbrake, reverse pattern, manual shift and all the goodies. Set-up is being done by MadMan.

With the switch, I need some help on a couple of things. Had the M6 thing down pretty well, but this is all new to me.

During the burn out, do I start in 1st and shift to 2nd; start in 1st and leave it there; start in 2nd and leave it there? Don't want to hurt the tranny on its 1st burn out.

My understanding of the TH400/4000 stall/transbrake on the launch: clear the shifter by going to nuetral, shift into 1st, pre-stage, stage, set transbrake, floor the car (the stall/transbrake will hold it at 4000 rpms), release trasnbrake.

I have pretty much everything needed for the SS - suspension, tires, etc.

I will wait until after I get it dialed in to actually change any tires/gears. I will be going with nitrous later - I already have the TNT set-up in the car with a full bottle. Not sure that the stall, 4.30 gears and either 26" or 28" will work. But we'll see.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

David

The 4.30's are gonna be rough even with a 28" tire when you spray. I do my burnouts in 2nd gear. First tends to not last very long.
