Default Had a good night at Irwindale tonight! =)

Went out to Irwindale Speedway tonight to try out the new tires. We swapped the 26X10.5X15 ET Streets for 28X9X15 ET Drags. My previous best on the ET Streets was 7.83@88.45 with a 1.67 60'. DA for that run was 1050'. Today I managed a new best 60' time of 1.64 with a 7.89@88.40. The DA at the time of the run was 2500'.

The car only ran a couple hundreths off the previous best ET and MPH, despite the almost 1500' DA difference. I figure with some better a 7.6x@90ish would have been possible.

The ET Drags are a completely different feel from the ET Streets. The 1.67 60' on the ET Streets at 11psi (hot) had a bit of spin. The 1.64 60' on the ET Drags at 13psi (hot) bogged a bit. This is the first time I've ever pulled the front tires in the car. It literally felt like the car picked itself up and moved over 6" to the left. We'll probably try with another pound of air in the tires next time around, perhaps it will eliminate the bog.

Thanks again Mark (madmark) for all the help, I SWEAR you'll get some wheel time next Thursday. Thanks also to Jason (Ninefinger) for the help and to Ryan for the video footage.

A little action photo.

Thanks. After a frustrating day at California Speedway on saturday, it was nice to get out and have the car run as well as it did.

nice work, car looked good in that vid. you may want to consider a good anti roll/drag bar for the back to be able to adjust and get the car going straight instead of pulling to the left.

congrats..and nice driving
