Default Madman motor plate questions...

Madman motor plate questions, anyone got any pics of it installed or by itself? When running an motor plate, you do not need "traditional" engine mounts, correct? You only need to run a trans mount with a plate, right? Thanks, Shawn

Shawn,

Call Madman he will help ya out.

I have his motor plate. I do not run motor mounts any longer. Great mod for drag racing. Stiftens the car up and makes pulling the motor, a whole lot easier.

Is there a problem with it being too rigid and possibly being able to crack the block?

when running a motorplate and no mounts, you should have a mid plate so the stress is taken up in the middle, and not a solid trans mount so theres some give and you dont break bellhousing
