Default Lost 2 tenths and 3 mph going to ET Streets in better weather...

Too much tire I assume?

My car is mostly stock. Hooker LT's, ORY, Borla, direct-flo lid, SFC's.

Picked up a set of 26x11.5 ET streets from a buddy Thursday, price was almost too cheap to pass up.

60's are about the same as I was cutting on my 245/45/17 Bald *** street tires, consistent 2.0's.

Car went consistent 8.40's in very similar weather with just a catback when I got it. Now I've added the LT's, ORY, SFC's, and ET streets, and I cant come within a .1 of matching those times.

Best run last week, in 100 degree heat, on my street tires was 2.04 60', 8.501, 86.1 MPH. DA was 22XX. Best run last nigh was 2.044 60', 8.629, 83.9 mph, DA ~800. Tried leaving off the line at anywhere from 650-1100 RPM, 17psi warm in the tires. Lost everything from the 330' on, so thats why I'm assuming it was the tires.

Now here's my dilemma. I have a Yank ST3500 and a TNT wet kit ready to go in. Am I still going to consistently lose .2 and 3mph with these tires? Should I keep them, or try to find something smaller? TIA,

That is very common on a non-stall A4 due to the rolling resistance, but hold on to them because they will make that ST3500 shine. Trust me on this one. You could run the ETs at 22-24 psi until you get the ST3500 installed. Good luck.

TXCam is right. I went slower with 26x10.50-16's before I got my stall and you went even wider, and probably taller as well(than the 26x10.50's). The taller ET Streets kill your gearing, but you will love them when you get a higher stall TC. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Keep the tires and put that stall in. You will regret getting rid of these tires. Keep the pressure as high as you can without spinning the tire.
