do 16x8 ro 9prostars need grinding?
I am gonna order prostars for my 16" et streets. Do thry make 16x9? Jegs only show 16x8. will either require grinding of calipers without spacers?
will I lose any braking performance with grinding the fronts? I am now using spacers on front.

Re: do 16x8 ro 9prostars need grinding?
I have 16x8 prostars and I don't think that they make a 16x9.But onto the grindege yes you will have to grind and yes you will still need a spacers. Then I went with 15x10's and still had to grind so much that I removed my calipers and used a bench grinder and then I was able to use the same spacers for both sets of wheels. No noticable brake problems should be fine. There is plenty of meat on those calipers.Hope that helps you and have fun grinding. With the fronts I still just use a little spacer and no grinding was needed.

I RAN A 15X4 ALUMASTAR ON MY 98Z28, I USE A 5/16 SPACER WITH 1/8" CLEARENCE BETWEEN RIM AND CALIPER, I GROUND A SMALL AMOUNT MAYBE 1/4" FROM THE TOP CORNER/SIDE AND THEY FIT. PUT UM ON ,TURN WHEEL, SEE WHERE IT TOUCHES, MARK THE CALIPER AND GRIND WHERE IT SCRATCHED CALIPERS AT USE A DYE OR MARKER IT HELPS. THEN WORK THE CORNER ON A BENT GRINDER, USE WD-40 IT'LL HELP THE STONE FROM BUILDING UP WITH ALUMINUM
