Trying to come up with a combo for a 28" tire, not sure if the 11" will fit on the rim, or be of any benifit?
If not, then I'll have to run the 10".

What kind of tire are you wanting to run? A DOT type tire (ET Street, etc), or a true slick. The sidewall size designation is determined differently on each, so that will have a big affect on what size tire you can run. IMHO, a true 10" tire (i.e. 28x10.5 slick) is borderline if not too big for a 7.5" wheel. You wouldn't be using all of the tire, and the sidewall can do all kind of strange things when you have the tire on too small of a wheel. The sidewall action of the tire plays a large role in how the car launches. I think you'd see to much wrinkling/flexing in the tire on a wheel that's too small.
A 28x9x15" slick would work well, IMHO...

I had M/T 28x9x15 ET Drags (non-DOT) on 15x8's and they looked perfect.
Maybe a 11.5x28x15 ET Street might fit but the rim is getting a bit narrow.
