A4 launch at track
Ok so I am going to the track for the very first time ever in my life!!!. Hopefully will be able to go to LACR in a week or so.
I am going to see what my 02 A4 Z28 runs.
The question is: what is the best way to NOT get the tires spinning (BTW i'll be using my stock tires).
only thing i have so far is lid and filter.

Make sure to go around the burnout box and not get any watter on any of your tires and then dry hop your rear ones just to clean them off then stall her up to 1500 and let her rip full throttle if she will hold.

Re: A4 launch at track
do as said above, but you will more than likely have to play with your launch RPMS
try idle, try stalling up, and etc etc
more than likely you will have to baby off the line and feather the gas
try running 26-28psi in your rear tires and 44 up front

Re: A4 launch at track
I feel like a dumbass asking this: but how do I stall up the car.
Usually on the street when I just floor it I spin for about 3/4 sec then hook up, will it do the same at the track given that the 2 surfaces are different.
I hope I can do this at track

Rookie I remember when I asked that same question. To stall it up what you do is put your foot on the brake and then give it gas right before it starts to spin the back tires and then you basically floor it if the car will hold other wise just feather it out.It takes a little practice but you will get use to it.Just hold the brake as hard as you can give it gas until 1500 rpm and let her rip.
