Weight and F/I
It seems all of the F/I cars are very heavy(like 3600 and up). Is it because the guys with F/I cars just haven't done any weight removal, or is it that the turbo/SC plumbing and intercoolers, and all that just add so much weight?
If you look at the list of ET's, the top two cars are running about the same numbers, but the F/I car has like 200hp on the N/A car. But the F/I car weighs soo much more, like 800lbs.
I was just looking at the list and wondering if anyone had an explanation of the weight difference.

Re: Weight and F/I
I think a lot of us want very tame daily drivers with all the creature comforts. I have removed the spare-jack-and front sway bar.....adding the turbo probably added that much weight back on so I am at 3680 racewight..that includes my 195lbs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Forced induction is also a bit of a challenge as far as tuning goes and I know I certainly have enjoyed SOME of it...minus my screwups. The harlan 2-step box should help some of the 6 speed FI guys get better times now as we have all been launching with no boost which puts us back to stock power for the first 20' or so.
